get to know me

At first, I never saw myself in politics. But after leading a youth initiative and seeing how quickly good change can fade, I needed to go further.

I ran for Council to turn that spark into something enduring — to help shape a better future that lasts. For all of us.

Fast forward to now, I’m the current City Councillor for Riccarton in Christchurch, with a background in community development, small business, and hands-on work. I’ve worked in many sectors throughout my life in community development, business, trades and social enterprise.

My focus is on getting things done that make a real difference — whether that’s supporting local initiatives, helping ideas grow, or improving everyday infrastructure. I care deeply about strong communities, good communication, and making sure people feel heard and included.

Over my term, I have a proven track record of delivering on more than just words. I moved on core infrastructure, community wellbeing and funding. I challenged the status quo, supported investment in people, not politics and listened to everyone. No matter the issue.

Outside of Council, I live in Riccarton with my wife and our two children. I grew up here, we married here, and now raise our children here. My family keeps me grounded, and my community keeps me moving.
